Musica Destructiva is the name of my first solo project. With the Cooledit, the DX7, the mixer and some processors, I had begun to explore new ways, with a special focus on the materiality of sound. My training in visual arts reverberated then, I felt that the pieces were like assemblages and that they aligned with an aesthetic of collage and waste. The whole process was very intuitive, I still didn’t know much about noise or electroacoustic music. I was guided by the spirits of error and sampling.

In 2008 I released an EP that brought together some of those early sound experimentations. Micro-electroacoustic pieces produced between 2004 and 2007, in some cases in collaboration with my brother Antonio Savasta Alsina. The seal was MARDER.

In 2009 Musica Destructiva was presented live for the first time, at the opening of the first exhibition of Club Provincia Marder. It was a telematic concert. Antonio transmitted from Montevideo and was amplified in the gallery in the City of Buenos Aires, where I was with the keyboard and the devices. In the approximately 40 minutes of the set, improvisation and composition were tensed in continuity. The visuals in the room consisted of an oscilloscope in the master and Atu’s camera in Montevideo.

Between 2009 and 2011, I eventually presented myself as Operadora Destructiva, linking these sounds with the songs of Operadora. That set would later be called Marder Mene and would be the seed of Campo Cercano.

Música Destructiva es el nombre de mi primer proyecto solista. Con el Cooledit, el DX7, la consola y algunos procesadores, había comenzado a explorar nuevas formas, haciendo especial foco en la materialidad del sonido. Reverberaba entonces mi formación en artes visuales, sentía que las piezas eran como ensamblajes y que se alineaban con una estética del collage y del desperdicio. Muy intuitivo todo el proceso, todavía no conocía mucho del noise ni de la música electroacústica. Me guiaban los espíritus del error y del sampling.

En 2008 edité un EP que reunió algunas de esas tempranas experimentaciones sonoras. Micropiezas electroacústicas producidas entre el 2004 y el 2007, en algunos casos en colaboración con mi broder Antonio Savasta Alsina. El sello fue MARDER.

En 2009 Música destructiva se presentó en vivo por primera vez, en la inauguración de la primera exhibición de Club Provincia Marder. Fue un concierto telemático. Antonio transmitía desde Montevideo y se amplificaba en la galería en Ciudad de Buenos Aires, donde yo estaba con el teclado y los aparatos. En los aproximadamente 40 minutos del set, improvisación y composición se tensionaban en una continuidad. Las visuales en la sala consistieron en un osciloscopio en el master y la cámara de Atu en Montevideo.

Entre 2009 y 2011, eventualmente me presentaba sola como Operadora Destructiva, vinculando estás sonoridades con las canciones de Operadora. Ese set más tarde se llamaría Marder Mene y sería el germen de Campo Cercano.
